Isilwane (means The Animal) Bush Camp is
situated within the Pride of Africa
Nature Reserve, approximately 110
Kilometres from Sandton (90 minutes
drive) and 40 Kilometres from Pretoria
(30 minutes drive). The Pride of Africa
Nature Reserve consists of 22 lodges,
each with a maximum of 16 (sixteen)
beds. Click here for more information about Pride
of Africa Game Reserve.
As part of the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve
development, we are
slowly moving towards our goal of
hosting the big 5. We already have Rhino
and Leopard on the reserve, and are
planning to introduce Lion and Elephant
during this year. |
Isilwane Bush camp (lodge 20 at POA) is
a self catering facility, with a central
kitchen/lounge/dining room area and
three separate chalets, each with two
rooms. We have a three star grading, and
are also an AA highly recommended
establishment. Currently the lodge can
handle up to 12 guests.
The area
is typical bushveld with an extensive
game population. A river runs through
the Reserve, which flows constantly.
There also is a large man-made dam with
extensive bird life in the Reserve as
well as a substantial road network on
the Reserve which enhances abundant game
viewing on an area in excess of 4000Ha.
